I have successfully tested the overclocking and it works
well, I suggest overclock to 533Mhz if you wish to maintain good battery level.
As you can tell iPhone 3G is about maybe 2 years plus? or more? and obviously
the batttery isnt as good as before. At 600 MHz, i have not encounter any
problems or heating problem. GPS software works much smoother with no lag. This
even works on iOS 4.0 – iOS 4.2.1

For your information

iPhone 3G has 620 MHz (under-clocked to 412 MHz) ARM
1176JZ(F)-S Processor. Apple has UNDER-CLOCKED the processor, so we are not
actually overclocking, we just optimized the processor.

iPhone 3GS has 833 MHz (under-clocked to 600 MHz) ARM
Cortex-A8 Processor

iPhone 4 has 1 GHz (under-clocked to 800 MHz) Apple A4
Processor

Step by step Instruction

1: SSH into your iPhone open file name fstab which can be
found at /private/etc I suggest you the “fstab” file. I have rename
fstab to fstab(ori)

2: Open up fstab in TextEdit (Mac) or Notepad.

3: Add the following lines:

Steps to Overclock or increase CPU Speed of iPhone and iPod Touch

Step 1. Navigate to System/Library/System/System Configuration/PowerManagement.bundle/

Step 2. You will see a file named “com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefault.plist”

Step 3. Instead of editing, you are just rename it to “SystemPowerProfileDefaultbak.plist” so the device does not recognize it.

Step 4. Do a reboot and you overclock your iPhone.

Increasing the clock speed can cause the CPU’s lifespan reduce and is therefore not recommended. Do at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for bricking your iPhone.

Apple iPhone doesnt allow multi-tasking which is backward but the Nexus One allows that. This show confidence on the stablity of the OS and power of the processor.

Iphone has over 130 ooo applications but Nexus One has about 20,000 at this moment. Maybe we have to look into the quality of the applications rather than the numbers

Wikipedia Definition – Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
This profile defines how high quality audio (stereo or mono) can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection. For example, music can be streamed from iphone to a wireless headset or car audio or from a laptop/desktop to a wireless headset.

1) to sync after you’ve made the glitched changes
2) delete the app from your iPhone
3) then re-sync and reinstall.

Another way is
1) to do what ever you want to increase the money in your account
2) once satisfy set the date and time to the current
3) You’ll notice that your money, energy, and stamina regeneration is a messed up. We’re going to fix that in the next steps.
4) Connect your iPhone to your PC and sync it.
5) On the iPhone delete the Mafia Wars application.
6) Connect to your PC and sync again, re-selecting Mafia Wars so it re-installs.
7) Disconnect, open Mafia Wars and your game is back to normal, but you’re now making loads of cash.
